You may think that a powder, because it’s dry, won't soak into your skin and the toxic ingredients (like talc, paraben, synthetic preservatives and fragrances) won't be harm you. I’m afraid to tell you that your mainstream bronzer is doing a lot more damage than you think!
Any brand can slap the words ‘natural’ or ‘mineral’ on a product, and instantly be deemed more trustworthy. Unfortunately, you can’t believe everything you read. The makeup market is not very regulated, so brands can say what they like, write what they like and put what they like into any cosmetic product - with no mandatory testing. This means there is no guarantee that your product is a clean, natural, mineral one.
There are a bunch of different primers on the market that you can buy to address specific areas of concern, like redness or oiliness. This just confuses people! Check the ingredients and work out if the ‘calming’ label is only because they have added in chamomile to soothe the skin, or calendula to reduce oiliness. Now look at your moisturiser.
What are the items you use every single day?
Deodorant is one of those things for me, and I’m guessing it is for you to.
